Specific Responsibilities

Centric Brands is seeking a Product and Brand Copywriter to write, edit, and oversee brand marketing copy and website product descriptions for multiple brands across our Men’s and Women’s Division.

The Copywriter will clearly communicate with our current and future customers across a variety of consumer touch points, while maintaining brand voice consistency throughout. The Copywriter will be responsible for communicating crisp and clear business driving messages. A successful candidate will have the ability to communicate the brand message.

  • Manage end-to-end digital copy for multiple brands within the Men's and Women's division of Centric Brands with the goal of contributing to a best-in-class customer experience.
  • Create compelling product stories from seasonal inspiration and collection launches, driving end-to-end copy across all channels including but not limited to: emails, product descriptions, product launches, social media and look books.
  • Communicate product descriptions with unique and distinctive product details.
  • Attend design meetings to understand brand and product DNA.
  • Partner with creative, marketing, design, merchandising and production teams to ensure copy is brand appropriate and effective across all digital touchpoints.
  • Assist with product naming and packaging (hangtags, flashers, etc.)
  • Regularly check brand websites to ensure all product copy is uploaded correctly; update team to ensure inconsistencies are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Utilize research to understand technical concepts, industry practices and product information as necessary.
  • Understand the brand voice required for each individual brand.

Skills and Requirements

  • Expertise in digital copywriting with Search Engine Optimization knowledge
  • 2-4 years of digital, fashion copywriting experience
  • Degree in English, Communication or Journalism preferred
  • Experience in consumer goods/ product writing
  • Versatile writing skills ranging from creative to journalistic to technical
  • Deadline-oriented with ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities
  • Highly organized with great attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced collaborative environment
  • Creative, innovative and able to easily adapt to rapid changes in consumer preferences
